The Nano car, ecological ?

As we have announced, the cheapest car in the world, Nano, will be released shortly from the factory at a price of 100 000 rupees (€ 1450) and will soon be exported to rich countries, starting with the Europe.

The emergence of the Nano has raised concerns among the green countryside, who have warned of an environmental nightmare on the roads of India. Although there are only 5 million cars in use in India (only 7 in 1000 have a car), the roads are blocked by dozens of other vehicles.

The company plans to sell 100 000 cars this year, before moving production to its new plant in Gujarat, which is capable of producing 250 000 units per year.

Mr Tata said the car would be the greenest in India. With four doors, five seats, the Nano has a 624cc engine at the rear, which provides 23.6 km per liter, and CO2 emissions with a rating of 101 g / km (grams of carbon dioxide kilometer).
